Yeah, we played to our opposition, and there were some boneheaded decisions against FSU (but they won that game more than we lost it). That said, what are your thoughts concerning the fall season? Better/worse/same as expected? I watched the FIU game and other than some questionable redzone calls, I thought we looked better than we have in years. FIU may be a bad team, but Butch Davis is a very good coach and he got out-coached. I would never in a million years thought I would say that.

I was surprised how well we did. I didn’t expect to beat FIU (even though they suck they are still FBS) and certainly didn’t expect to lead FSU at the half.
Very optimistic going into the spring.

I think we looked good against some pretty dreadful teams. Redzone O was pretty mediocre.
No, I'm not convinced this team could make a playoff run. Yet.

I definitely see improvement. The 98 yard drive against FIU was huge. I don’t think we could have sustained a 98 yard drive against Mississippi Valley State last year.

I think FIU was down a lot of players, but they start out with 21 more scholarships so that just makes it even. UNA is improved. I don’t think we are contenders yet, but I think we are capable of winning the conference and that’s a lot better than last year.

I'm not sure on your initial question, I'd like to think I saw improvement but I try to balance that against it's 2020 and nothing is as it seems. To me, the first half of the FSU game was the most promising. I think we played down to the other teams. Seems the running game had some sparks but we've got to get the red zone issues figured out asap. Injury to Coop? Dunno, hope all is well with him in a couple of months.

I certainly hope all is well with Coop but I also think we are in good hands with Zion. I hope we are developing a viable QB2 in case Coop does not make it back.
