We've been getting embarrassed by elite FCS teams for a two decades anyway. What's the difference?

Welcome to Division I FCS folks. Jax St was never ready for this level. Simply do not have the financial resources to do so. Have seen delusional boosters who do not understand. More days like this to come folks. Can you at least wait until we have the full 84 scholarships and a year or two of recruiting at fbs level? We've had so many drops that it wouldn't matter the opponent. We're beating ourselves as much as they are beating us. Not really.

Tulsa is far from an elite FCS team. Elite compared to your program. I’d be rethinking that move to Conference USA.

Remember, it's a long way to the top if you want to rock & roll.
This is where it starts. The first ass whupping of the Rich Rod era. You can see this as a nodal point- one covered in much vomit, etc. It looks like... the game is being called not to keep a semi respectable loss, but rather, to demonstrate the versatility that would be needed to win at this level, a versatility that is in no way come to be on this team. RR can always point to this game, in games to come, and say pointedly "that's the s--- that gets you beat 52- 17 by Tulsa."
I'm not sure I've seen us play so badly. This isn't bothering me as badly as it should. There'll be days like this to come. Also--- there will be days where the opposition is similarly scorched by next year's Gamecocks , and the year after, etc.
By no means does this make me think, "well woooops, should have stayed in the OVC". CUSA will be the correct place to begin the long march.
It's a long way to the top if you want to rock & roll. As everyone knows, Saban's first Alabama team lost to UL- Monroe. In years to come we will probably be looking back at this one going, "how the hell did we get thumped like that, by them?" In the by and by, there will be a 52- 17 - like win over Tulsa by our JSU. The tables will have turned. This is what we were meant to do. We're gonna be a holy terror All will be revealed in the fullness of time. Or it won't! Hell I dunno. I ain't psychic, that's for dang sure.
Go Gamecocks
