I can heard the complaints now, but selling naming rights would help us shore up funds in our now more expensive athletic budget. The questions are who would pay to have their brand on our stadiums, and how much are they worth?

JSU is too worried about past Presidents to allow naming rights.
No building should be named after anyone unless its paid for and has an end date. This allows you to resell the name later on and keep refunding the endowments.

That's fine with me I'd cash the check. It'd still be the Pete to me though. As is bibb graves. UNA is only naming the arena after the bank, the building itself is still Flowers Hall. I doubt many UNA fans will refer to the bank when they say they are going to a basketball game. If we can make money I don’t care if we stick a corporate name on the football stadium or basketball arena. The football stadium is Burgesss-Snow Field so the stadium itself is open to the highest bidder. I refer to big league stadiums as “the place where Team X plays” so the corporate name doesn’t reach me. I think of where the Falcons play as the Georgia Dome out of habit.

I still call it the GA Dome, too. Superdome is still the Superdome. Heinz is still Heinz, I think it got a new name. Paul Snow is still Paul Snow not Burgess Snow BJCC is BJCC
Guess I stay with the first name I can remember. But I would still take the money.
