Just chiming in to say Sun Belt fans have a lot of nerve to be badmouthing CUSA, or any G5 conference for that matter. Most of their teams on the list are poverty programs with little to be proud of since jumping to FBS. JMU, App State and GA. Southern found immediate success, which confirms the Sun Belt is still a joke. Its only redeeming qualities are its number of members and their proximity to each other.

To be fair, the Sun Belt doesn't need to have huge amounts of money to fund their athletics. A majority of them literally bus to each other for almost every game. They save a whole lotta $$$ doing that versus booking charter flights to fly hundreds or thousands of miles. They also do have a pretty well-funded upper half of their conference. JMU has always been a monster when it comes to budget... I am glad we have Liberty though in CUSA... I'm hoping they'll make all the rest of CUSA try to be more competitive with them from a budget standpoint. SBCJMU - $58 million Old Dominion - $52 million Georgia State - $40 million Marshall - $40 million Appalachian State - $39 million Louisiana - $39 million Texas State - $38 million Troy - $35 million CUSALiberty - $50 million FIU - $39 million Middle Tennessee - $35 million Western Kentucky - $35 million UTEP - $34 million New Mexico State - $29 million
