(We have plenty of athletes, but very little experience.) The addition of Logan Smothers should help us there. After that, we seem to be pretty solid at all of our starting positions. There's always room for improvement, but I think the starters can all get the job done. I'd say our biggest need is probably defensive depth, across the board, tied with OL depth. That will, of course, be my standard response any given year, for any team I follow, at any level.

We do have some new guys coming in with experience as returners. Maybe we'll get lucky.

Assuming none of the returning starters are replaced by new guys (it could happen...) we'll still have Alen Karajic handling FGs (13-of-16 in 2022), PATs (37-of-38), and kickoffs (63.1 avg, 52 touchbacks on 74 attempts), and Jack Dawson punting (42.1 avg, 11 inside 20). We return both our leading punt returner (Sterling Galban, 8.0 avg on 7 returns) and kick returner (Michael Pettway, 30.60 avg on 5 returns). Whether these two stay with it or new guys take their place is anyone's guess. As I said, we do have some new guys with return experience, so we'll see. Regardless, the guys touching the ball should be solid. We just need to make sure the guys blocking for them know what they're doing. Thomas Peterson returns as long snapper.

Three kickers attempted field goals in the wrong game, but Karmic seemed to be the clear winner. If I remember correctly he was a very inexperienced football player coning out of High School only playing his senior year.
