Someone please explain the seeding. We finished 4th but seeded 7th. Liberty is 3rd but finished 6th. Others are out of whack also. It is probably because we are 9-21 against quadrant 1, 2, and 3 teams. We are 16-7 against quadrant 4, the worst teams in the land. Our SOS is 167, while Liberty (roughly the same record) is 48. I don't really know for sure. The bottom line is we play in a terrible conference for baseball. Most of the teams are terrible, and we are middle of the road in a terrible conference. Seeding doesn't really matter. We just got swept by Lipscomb, a private Church of Christ college and Seminary in Nashville with half as many students as we have.

Seeding is based on RPI

When you lose a bunch and lose to teams you should beat on your worse day . The RPI takes a huge hit and you fall in ranking in tournaments.

We suck. It is past time for a MAJOR change to the baseball program. Enough with the madness.....

Good game today. 1-0 in pool play. Because we are in Pool B we have to win the pool to advance to bracket play. The top three from Pool A advance. So we pretty much have to go 3-0 in pool play. 9

If I'm not mistaken Lipscomb an Austin Peay have been eliminated.

We play EKU tonight and lead 1-0 in the top of the first. If we win we are pool champs. If we lose we have to beat Peay tomorrow to force a three way tie for first and will then need to win the tiebreaker.
I assume the tiebreaker is run differential. Right now Stetson is finished at +9. Going into tonight we are +5 and EKU is -4. So if we lose tonight we need to pound Peay tomorrow.

Up 7-0 top of the fourth.
If we win I think tomorrow’s game is canceled.

Up 7-0 top of the fourth. If we win I think tomorrow’s game is canceled. According to the broadcast, if we win we will still play Peay tomorrow night "to even out the pitching". This is the most unnecessarily complicated and weird tournament format I've ever heard of. It sounds like we're playing a meaningless game just for what? Fun? The deck is already stacked if you're in pool B, and now, if we beat EKU and secure a spot, we get rewarded by playing an exhibition in the middle of a tournament.
