Want to make sure I understand this correctly. JSU, Sammy and KSU will be in the same situation next year? What about the Dukes since they were on the more accelerated transition last year? It's a VERY common misconception, but there was no "accelerated transition" for JMU. Last year's waiver merely allowed them to move into the Sun Belt in Year 1 and allowed the other SBC teams to count them as a full FBS opponent (rather than FCS). This was done to help the other fully FBS teams in the Belt, and not at all to help the Dukes. The Dukes were still officially a Year One transition team in 2022, which is why their appeal for a bowl waiver last year was rejected. (Year 1 transitionals can't play in a bowl even if there aren't enough eligible teams.) JMU attempted to jump ahead in the line this past offseason by applying for another waiver to declare them fully postseason eligible (counting their Year 1 as Year 2), but the NCAA rejected that appeal as well. To summarize, there are ONLY 2 years of transition: 2022 - JMU competed in the Sun Belt and counted as an FBS opponent. JSU and SHSU remained in FCS in the ASUN and WAC, respectively. ALL THREE were in Year 1 of their transition, making them ineligible for any form of postseason play, including bowls, CCGs, and playoffs. 2023 - JMU competed in the Sun Belt again. JSU and SHSU moved to CUSA. ALL THREE are in Year 2 of their transition, meaning they are ineligible for postseason play, including CCGs, but may conditionally play in a bowl if they have 6 wins (which knocks out Sammy) and there aren't enough 6-win teams to fill all available slots. KSU is in Year 1 of their transition, and the ASUN booted them from their conference schedule, forcing KSU to play a shortened schedule full of mostly D-IIs with some FCS and G5s mixed in. They are, of course, ineligible for any form of postseason play. 2024 - JMU, JSU, and SHSU will be FULLY ELIGIBLE for FBS postseason play. Kennesaw will move to CUSA for Year 2 of their transition. They will count as FBS opponents for everyone else, but they will be ineligible for postseason play, including the CCG, but may conditionally play in a bowl if they have 6 wins and there aren't enough 6-win teams to fill all available slots. 2025 - KSU will join the rest of us as FULLY ELIGIBLE FBS teams. NOTE: Because I still see a lot of confusion about this on social media, the postseason bans ONLY impact FOOTBALL and NO OTHER SPORTS. Jax State is fully eligible for all conference championships and postseason play in all other sports. We've been D-I for 30 years. That didn't change with the move to CUSA.

Jimmy has filed a lawsuit. I don’t know if it has any basis (they joined a private organization and knew the rules) but I guess if you wrote the constitution that makes you a legal expert.

Thanks for clearing that up. I had heard different things from 2 different people that are both usually right on these matters. Wasn't sure who to believe.

Looks like Jimmy should have spent less time prepping for court and more time prepping for Appalachian State.

Looks like Jimmy should have spent less time prepping for court and more time prepping for Appalachian State. It seemed obvious to me they weren't as good as the hype. I believe liberty is a better all around team.

I did QB and OL play was better The difference maker was QB play. If I am not mistaken we had 2 interceptions and a fumble that is why I think they are not that much better. Better team that day, sure, but not that much better. Plus we had at least a 10 minute TOP deficit.
