"Thanks to the NIL circus, the largest disparity in College Football is no longer between FBS (Div. I-AA) and FCS (Div. I). It is now between Power 5 and Group of 5. Those schools, such as my Alma Mater Jax State in Conference USA, have to do everything short of bake sales and womanless weddings to raise minimal money while Power 5 schools have Phil Knights & T. Boone Pickens. Is this really what we wanted?" My advice: De-Friend him! You don't think there's some truth in what he said?

Dont see the P2 staying on the same level as the M2. Either they take more autos or look for them to split into their own league or playoffs. Cant blame them the B12 and ACC or ACCPAC2 will not be on the same level. This. The P2 will form something closer to the NFL model. Two conferences 24-32 teams each, 12-16 per division, perhaps 8-8 pod, Play a divisional championship 1 or 2 games depending on the division vs pod setup, and a conference championship game and the two conference champions play for a national title. Superbowl lite. The Big XII and ACC2PAC (in whichever form it comes to be) are absolutely NOT going to be on the same level as the P2 in football. You're right about that. But both leagues would absolutely be power leagues in basketball, and, like it or not, there's still a few billion dollars of revenue sitting on the table for anyone who wants to hoop it up. If a true football split happens, then the NFL model will come to pass. The Big XII and ACC2PAC will be raided for whatever value they have remaining in football, and the leftovers will be cast to the upper realms of the G5. But that's a lot harder and more expensive than keeping the conferences together (below the P2, but well above the G5) and continuing to let the FBS "evolve" into whatever twisted semi-pro model it naturally becomes.
