That doesn’t do do much . Each sport should be on social media platforms like football and other schools do . I mean Troy baseball has a facebook page and content. Georgia southern baseball has a page and content . That’s how you get interest up .

Each sport has a page on the athletic website, but I understand, you're looking for social media stuff, not just university website content. I'm not on Facebook, so don't know what they're doing (or not). Before I retired, I set up an instagram account where I posted a lot of athletic content, but not exclusively since I had obligations to the entire university community. The university had a full time social media manager, but it was almost entirely on the academic side. I agree, the school should be inundating all possible social media platforms.

It's actually a time-intensive effort, if the goal is to have a presence on all social media platforms, monitor hits, comments, responses & maintain fresh, updated content.

Having all our sports on one page is fine. Not many people are going to follow a JSU tennis page.

As I mentioned earlier in this thread, I'm not on Facebook or any other social media, so this may be a dumb question to many of you who are... I googled NDSU & Troy St. (just the 2 I hate the most) and the only results I saw were school pages (like ours) or the occasional network tv report like ESPN or cbs, on a specific game. Also a lot of X & one Facebook page that appeared to be several years outdated. So they don't appear to be doing any better than us, (small sample size of course) unless (& is totally possible) I'm too social media ignorant to understand. What exactly are the references to social media in this thread referring to?

They are low budget just like JSU and get by with what they have. Not saying they do a bad job just not some super role model or the next UAT. Just another program scraping for anything they can get too.

There are Facebook pages for Men's Basketball and Women's Basketball, but they don't appear to be very active.

Like I said, I just picked the first couple of schools that came to mind.

There are Facebook pages for Men's Basketball and Women's Basketball, but they don't appear to be very active. Yeah. I purposely did not include any relatively inactive pages, when I found them. All the ones I listed above have been active *at least* since the end of each team's most recent season. Most have been active within the past week or two. As for hoops, we're not really missing *too* much. The main athletics accounts at www.facebook.com/jsugamecocks/ and twitter.com/JSUGamecocks have posted a LOT of stuff about both. It's not as good as having a dedicated account, but at least there's still regular content going out on the ol' interwebs about signings, upcoming games, game results, and the occasional player feature.
