Yeah I know serveral guys whose transfer wasn't a "oh I'm too good for this system" hooplah and they left because it was genuinely the best thing for their goals. Casey Dunn and Trey Barry are both examples of this. To me, we shouldn't be blaming athletes for looking for better situations. We should be considering what we can do to be better for our athletes. The biggest thing that annoys me in college atheltics nowadays is the notion that once an athlete commits they are "obligated" to stay and that transferring in the off-season is somehow a breach of this "obligation". Scholarships are a yearly thing. If an athlete completes the season they've fufuilled whatever "obligation" they have and can go where ever they feel is best. If that's with us, great. If it's not, what can we do as a program to make it better? "If it's not, what can we do as a program to make it better?" Win championships? Provide a more efficient pathway to the next level. Better facilities. It also doesn't all come down to atheltics. Part of the reason Dunn did Grad school at Auburn was because our engineering program didn't have anything else for him after his undergrad.
