Hotel does have a large variety. Is 4.7% the norm?
Nope. Most of them are 6.0-7.0. That and a Milk Stout are the only ones they have that low, but the Summer Ale is arguably the best in terms of the right balance of hops and citrus. Not too harsh but a little bite. The basil beer is 6.7% and overly bitter... and that is saying something because I like bitter... but it has kind of an herbal bitterness that is almost unpleasant. The Thai basil note is just on the aroma at the finish.
Unfortunately due to difficulty getting deliveries with the pandemic outbreak, the kitchen is totally out of beer now. I was unable to order anything. I was even willing to order the Peaches and Cream or Milk Stout (which is only 4.4%) tonight...or a macro... but they are totally out of everything other than red wine.
Friday they called my room and told me I had to move because my wife had failed the PCR test and was positive. Horse hockey! If she is positive, I would have been too. We are both vaccinated, no symptoms, and I had been with her all week. She tested negative prior to the flight out of Atlanta. I am 100% certain it is a false positive, but now we are in separate rooms and she has to stay for an additional week... Not sure yet if they are going to extend my quarantine to 3 weeks or not. If I pop positive this Thursday they will extend me to 4 weeks though. Fingers crossed.
...the situation makes the beer shortage that much worse. Quarantine is better with beer.

and to add... I bought an iPhone 12 Pro max just before making the trip to Vietnam. The camera on this thing is awesome. The photo quality is unreal without any tinkering with settings. I don't think I could have taken photos that good with my DSLR.
