Just a friendly reminder. My sister's father in law just spent three weeks in the hospital with it. He's currently coronavirus free but is still on a ventilator. He is 53 and had no other medical conditions.
It's nothing political. Stay safe.

I know 2 70yr olds one just released from the hospital 6days of hydroxycholquine and zpack the other never went to the hospital. Both clear now. I know two victims who died suffered from lack of care at the hospital with a heart attack and the other with a minor motorcycle accident both went home early one died. Covid is real for sure but there's other dangers from being overly consumed by fear.

Wear a mask, people. Seriously. It isn't being overcome by fear to be smart and proactive. I wear one every day in a humid subtropical climate so take this from someone who lives in Taiwan - a mask wearing country full of Chinese people 100 miles from mainland China. We are basically free from the Coronavirus. We have 5 active cases, all 5 imported over the past couple of weeks. They were caught immediately with no community impact. Contrary to disinformation floating around with 1% death rates and such, it is a deadly virus with around a 10% death rate when you look at actual outcomes, and not the millions still infected. There have been almost 1.1M cases reach an outcome so far. Out of that 1.1M, 950k have survived, and 220k have died. That is 11% death rate in the USA from Covid-19. When you look at countries who have gotten past the disease, that trend is about average. Italy with its aging population is at 16%, Germany with its exceptional management of the outbreak is at 5%. There is no 1% or .1% unless you look at all cases v/s deaths, and that is like choosing a winner before the game is played. You have to look at outcomes.
Taiwan is phenomenal, but the healthcare and contact tracing systems here are light years ahead of the west. 7 deaths in 442 total cases is an outlier because of the government's action and the superior healthcare.
On a football related from, 23 players from Clemson have tested positive. That is kinda scary.... 25% of the team! With them being young and healthy, they should be able to weather the storm as it were.

Read an article from some sports talking head saying he thinks players are herding up to get sick with C19 now instead of during the season. Okay, sure.

My sister's father-in-law just died on the 4th. No one was allowed to visit him. This will be a sad day for the her husband's and mother-in-law's life. Just senseless.

2.7M tests and 290k cases, reality is bad enough

2.7M tests and 290k cases, reality is bad enough You know, if we'd just stop testing we wouldn't have any cases.

Credibility and Covid19 are polar opposite. Instead of being worried about public health it is a political shit show. You can defend your side if you wish.
