Just 344 in a two year period, really? Just damn, why is this not surprising?
Dear Georgia Tag Supporter:
I want to thank you for your support and patience with this two-year effort to secure 1,000 applications and deposits in order to get this tag produced and on our roads in Georgia. It saddens me to have to inform you that the deadline to reach this requirement has passed. We were not able to meet this goal. Our total amount of tag deposits and applications only reached 344, therefore, we are not able to move forward to the production process.

Did/was the GA tag exempt you from a parking pass, too?

Hey I can personally guarantee that if they make a push to make JSU license plates in Michigan that at least 1 will be sold.

Outside of the talk about it on the boards I saw exactly no talk about this subject so it doesn't surprise me because no one likely knew about it. Also after having just gone through the process getting a vehicle registered in Georgia, I can say that going through the process again for the sake of a JSU plate is absolutely 100% not worth my time.

I heard about it quite a bit. They posted about the GA tags several times on the JSU Alumni Facebook page, sent out a couple of mailers about it, and it was mentioned in every issue of Gem of the Hills for the last 2 years. I might've reserved a tag... if I still lived in Georgia. Haven't called that place home in 31 years, though.

I put down my deposit, I really wanted one. Oh well, guess that's why we can't have nice things as they like to say.

To paraphrase Yogi Berra, if people aren’t getting a JSU plate, you can’t stop them.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I've actually seen a couple of them running around. I think you can get pretty much all the power 5 schools in Georgia.

I looked at the Michigan site and didn’t see any for colleges outside of Michigan. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It's just too much trouble. You have to go stand in line forever during a pandemic and pay to get your tag swapped out. And also pay money that you're not sure if it's even going to pass or not.
