I'm holding out hope the rumors of Grass's impending season-end retirement are true. I'm also holding out hope he's relayed his plans to Greg Seitz, and a search for his replacement is already quietly under way. I'm also holding out hope the next coach will tell Jimmy Ogle, "You can be on the staff if you just want to coach running backs, but I've got the offensive playcalling covered, thanks." I'm also holding out hope the new coach, whoever he is, will come in and change the culture of the program as radically as CBC did when he replaced Crowe. I've heard from alumni who visited the team under CBC and were stricken (even amused) by how hard everyone was working compared to how they'd done it under Crowe. I've heard (unverified, but totally believable) reports that the strong work ethic CBC installed died out completely, shortly after we made it to Frisco. I'm holding out hope we can become a true championship contender again in 2022. I'm holding out hope we don't become the EIU or TTU of the ASUN... That last statement is contingent upon changes being made. If we continue in the direction we are headed, we are looking at < 500 every year in conference. We might pull a winning record because of OOC scheduling, but this season we got beaten by an OVC member.

I don’t care if he stays the rest of the year. I don’t think that solves anything. I don’t want him here next season. We are literally two plays away from being 0-5.

Would the OVC take us back?

Would the OVC take us back? Heard they’ve got great flags.

Against UNA we had a 100 yard fumble return. If they fall on the ball that’s a 14 point swing. And the defense scored another TD so that’s 21 right there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

JSU beat FSU who beat Syracuse who beat Liberty who beat UAB so maybe now we are even better than UAB.

"We couldn't stop them and get off the field," said Jacksonville State head coach John Grass. This is true. We couldn't stop them..., Their offense is hard to stop especially if the team is good and run it well. They are and they do. But we could have and should have matched them.
1. We got inside the 20 and didn't score. (had our field goal attempt blocked) 2. We got a defensive stop and committed ANOTHER unsportsmanlike penalty.
3. We couldn't get a first down on 4th and 1. 4. We threw three interceptions only one of which was a good defensive play. These led to KSU scores.
5. We got inside the 20 again and couldn't score.
All of 1 thru 5 were the result of undisciplined football. We score on each of these and the result is 27 ( including the TD we did score ) for us. Without the interceptions they don't score 31.
Different ballgame due to us not them. Grass is responsible and I agree it's time for a change.
Side notes:
After spending a day at 5th3rd Bank Stadium I don't want to hear any more complaints about the Burgess-Snow Stadium sound system. I actually liked the stadium.

Comment on the sound system is on point. At times it was cringe worthy.

5/3 is great. I've been to an Atlanta United game there and loved being able to walk around the concourse and see the game.

This may be the most “out of touch from reality” poll ever on this site. The one sidedness of the vote just confirms it.
Next I guess we can expect a poll on whether Grass and Ogle will be fired on the tarmac after the Sam Houston Game, and then have to rent a car to get back home. lol

In your opinion what is our reality these days? Not picking a fight, just trying to understand the comment better.

It's that I hope there's someone in the building on the board or someone visiting that sees the question being posed.

I would guess whomever actually did was being sarcastic.

You take the time to not only post a thread, but also take the additional time to include a poll. And your intent was not for people to answer, but rather to “hope there’s someone in the building (whatever that means), on the board, or someone visiting that sees the question….” All righty then.
