Although mostly well known as a fiddle player, he was probably a better guitar and bass player. He played both on several Bob Dylan albums in the late 60’s and early 70’s.

Saw him at June Jam years ago.
Weird association, but I will always think about making hand tied flies when I think of Charlie... When I was a kid I had The Legend of Wooly Swamp on 45, and would listen to it while making homemade flies in my bedroom.
