I still think when we hear of the internal committee (President, SGA President, Board Member, Athletic Director, Rusty Fuller, Ed Lett.....) meeting, more will come out.
So, I have not heard of them meeting. This makes me think that it will not be Monday.
Once they get together, it is probably over with and more information will leak out.

Since it’s just a guess I vote no, we won’t hear anything mañana.

Not tomorrow. His season is not over yet. Gonna have to wait at least one more week.

Sanders would be a good pick. He built ETSU from the ground up and has coached in the SEC.

Yes please! Sanders has worked wonders at ETSU. I thought he was a career assistant. ETSU fell in a hole in his second season but that may have been an anomaly… I don’t know what happened. He is a quarterback whisperer, has worked under some highly successful head coaches, and was recruiting coordinator at Tennessee during their most successful era in the mid 90’s. As long as we are truly committed to winning and don’t pull any FIU malarkey, he could do very well at JSU… and we could do much worse with a hire.

I wonder if he would want to leave. He grew up in that area and was a player then coach in Knoxville until he was 40. He was at Kentucky and FSU until he went to ETSU in 2018.
It is his home and he might be happy there.

Has a track record of great recruiting. Plus our choice will most likely have the Saban factor. With all of these jobs opening up and more with the fall out of the replacements our choice today may not be available long.

Not tomorrow. His season is not over yet. Gonna have to wait at least one more week. Steve Smith? I know we are not going to hire a HS coach... and I am not saying we should. But if we were... That is who I would want. With the FBS move, I anticipate our budget will be significantly bumped... and we will hire someone better or more qualified than Steve (on paper at least). That said, he is a heck of a coach. PHS is back in the state title game again, for the 5th time in 7 years. 5 state titles in 15 years at a school that had just 1 winning season (6-5) in 10 years before he arrived, and had never won a state title. Add to that they are barely 3A in size and it is more impressive (they moved from 3A to 2A before he arrived and back to 3A a year after). With an overall record of 208-68 there is no doubt about his coaching ability. If we hired him with the impending FBS move and him only having experience as a grad assistant at JSU during D2 days, someone would get crucified. I would love to see what he would do... but I don't think it could/would/should happen.
