Haven't been able to watch yet. Been at work and at the opthalmologist. Did he give any nuggets about who would be on his staff? He just said that the guys are going to like who is going to be on the staff and then he tried to get his son to take a position.

All coaches say that. If he goes 12-0 and another team calls, he's gone. Very true... But I mean, almost every job in the country is that way. Witness Lincoln Riley leaving OU for USC. Or Brian Kelly leaving the Irish for LSU. Dabo Swinney stated flat out in one of his first pressers that he'd leave Clemson in a heartbeat if Bama called. Bama may, in fact, be one of the only jobs not dealing with these kinds of fears, and that's only because Saban's experienced the NFL, and never wants to go back. To his credit, Rich Rod didn't shy away from this question: He said he's learned to always treat a job like it's your last, because it could be. He said he's seen the highest levels and he's seen D-II, and that he's learned to appreciate any job. He likened the pace and scenery of Jacksonville to his home state of West Virginia. (That's a good sign, fwiw.) And he said he'd sign a 10-year contract if it were put in front of him. And it doesn't have to be for $110 million.

I just watched the press conference and it was a breath of fresh air.
My favorite part was talking about how he tries to learn from every season and improve. And he said doing the same thing for 30 years isn't 30 years of experience. It's one year repeated 30 times.
If he can follow through on this... Man. We'll have a good football team.
