And by “offer” is it a walk on offer, a “books & pencils” offer, a 1/2 offer, or a full ride? Is it an offer for your preferred position or at a position the team needs that works against what you liked best in high school?

Unless it's a PWO or "grayshirt" offer. But yeah... your point stands... no book schollies, or 1/4 or 1/2 tuition rides in FBS. It's all or nothing.

You’re correct. I had forgotten about that. Basketball is the same too. And the schollys are 4 year with limited reasons to take away from the athlete.
