We will only be performing in the stands, due to directives by the OVC, and safety decisions by the southerners.
As long as there is football, we should be having 3 different pep bands spread throughout the stadium. No pregame, halftime, or postgame marching shows.
Next year really will be “the moment you’ve all been waiting for...”

I wouldn't be surprised if football season gets canceled completely.

And we have to follow what the OVC, JSU, and State tell us to do. I agree. Wouldn’t be surprised at all if OVC calls it in the next few weeks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hopefully at minimum students, band and cheerleaders will be allowed to attend the games. As a fan I hate it but those groups should have priority.

I was actually in Jacksonville yesterday and talking to a current Southerner. Neither of us really think it's even worth having band if you can have fans at games. All the marching competitions are already cancelled as well. It's just not worth the effort or the risk for so little.

He’s been working super hard to show admin, alumni, donors, and current members that they’ve tried to prepare for anything, and to make it happen. If there’s football, there will probably be at least a 50 person pep band. Assuming they’ll let a limited number of fans in. But my money is still on the OVC calling it quits for the season.

I mean I'm sure there's some old bluehairs that will whine but I'm sure Dr.B couldn't care less. As far as I'm concerned this isn't a problem he should be responsible for or expected to solve. He shouldn't have to prove anything. This whole scenario is beyond anything he can control. Anyone who thinks Dr. B hasn't done everything he can for the Southerners can kiss my left cheek.
