I don’t care where CUSA has their baseball tournament.
A petition set up by a butt hurt LaTech fan is a joke. The Sun Belt didn’t want them for a reason.

I imagine they wanted off a sinking ship. From what I read on the conference boards, there is bad blood between the two.

It seems logical if your leaving you’d give up claim to the tournament. It’s no longer your conference mates. You’ve had enough.

Nine CUSA members left, including three who joined the Sun Belt. WKU tried to leave as well and would if MTSU had wanted to go to the MAC.
So they took in:
Liberty-Only got in FBS because they had money. School is viewed as an on-line diploma mill run by a right wing political “preacher” and his pool boy.
NMSU-A football orphan that was hoping for an opening in the MWC. Would have stayed in the WAC if the rest were ready for FBS.
-Two FCS schools
I’d say the Sun Belt has a better public image.

I disagree SBC took a lot of programs on the downhill slide.

We’ll just have to agree to disagree. I’d put CUSA at the bottom in public perception. We’ll have to wait and see how it shakes out on the field.

The majority of folks watching football on a Saturday don’t know or care anything about the SBC or CUSA. A couple of good fcs teams made the sbc what they are. Which is one step above the crap they were. CUSA’s position in pecking order will have to be determined.

I had several make the statement to me how they were surprised JSU didnt have to start out in the SBC. Do believe the results on the field will be the same. AAC got the cream of the teams leaving.

Looks like the petition didn’t sway the conference to move the tournament.

Definitely shouldn’t be at USM. It will be interesting to see where it goes to. Would like to see it in Nashville/Bham or Memphis
