I got an email from the Alumni Assc about the event. I was unable to make it but was curious where the event was held? All it gave was an address in Gadsden, was this a bar or restaurant? I was however, able to get one of the HCRR autographed footballs they had for fundraising so I'm excited about that. It was held at the Life Insurance Company of Alabama complex which is a block long group of adjacent buildings in downtown Gadsden which were recently renovated. Big crowd. Couch Rod was good. He told several funny stories and the @200 present were very appreciative and supportive. The CEO of LICOA is on the JSU Board of Directors -Clarence Daugette - famous name in JSU history.
I, too, purchased a $100 football for my office. 900 Club next!?
Sounds like it was a great event. Wished I could've been there in person. Any idea if HCRR will be doing a similar event in the metro Atlanta area? Yeah, excited to get my football and wonder what the 900 Club is all about?

Did I just imagine a time when they would shoot off fireworks at the home games after at TD? Maybe even when the team took the field at game time? Maybe it was a bad brain cell?

From the D1.Ticker
Tarleton State announces plans to expand Memorial Stadium to nearly 24K seats by closing in the north endzone. The north endzone field suites will move to the south endzone. Construction is set to begin in the coming weeks. AD Reisman: "As our university continues to set record enrollment numbers and the passionate student, community, and fan support grows, this is an exciting time for Tarleton. We are coming off a season where we led the WAC in attendance and our students, fans, and the Stephenville community is thrilled about the direction of our university. While we anticipate packing record football crowds into this beautiful facility, it also allows us the opportunity to host outdoor concerts, convocation, graduation ceremonies, and other events for a rapidly growing institution in need of space." Matt Brown has named Tarleton as one of the three FCS schools that would be interested in CUSA. (Along with EKU and I forget the 3rd)

KSU ? He also said the sbc was in talks with mo st. It's just fan board hearsay, but I've seen *multiple* MOST fans say there's no way in Hades they're joining CUSA. They'd be a solid add (especially in hoops) but if their fans don't want CUSA, I'd rather we add a school who DOES want to be with us. SFA or Tarleton in the West. The usual suspects in the East.

Considering MoStates position in the MVC, CUSA would more or less be a lateral move in every sport but football and they'd be woefully outgunned in football. It's not the best move for them truthfully.

My point was that Matt Brown is not the realignment guru many think he is.

I want the next addition to benefit us. So it’s either Kennesaw or Chattanooga. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
