Well it's been a barn burner so far. That last 4 minutes of the half was fantastic. Can't let up. They can shoot too. Just a thought/question: why is their mascot and logo a bird if they're the Flames? www.liberty.edu/flames/cheerleading/sparky-mascot/Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Liberty seems to be a very good team. I can see why they have had so much success. When we are shooting the ball that well, we can beat anyone.

Great win.
Three of the next four are at home. We should be 13-0 when we go to Bellarmine on 2/20. Liberty is at Bellarmine Thursday.
If we lose the rematch to Bellarmine and we both finish 15-1, who gets the higher seed?

They're good but I don't think they beat Liberty. We also have the H2H over Liberty. No idea what the tiebreaker is if they beat us and Liberty. Let's just not find out.

I tried to find out tie-breakers on the conference website but to no avail. This is the first year of the 12 team format so past brackets were useless. It says a higher seed will always host. But if we finish second in the West and Liberty wins the East, do they host us even if we finish with a better record? But I agree, go 16-0 and it isn’t a concern. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

These guys deserve a crowd. It hurts to see these other ASUN teams that get such great crowd support, standing moments, chants from the general crowd.
Our guys need and deserve this.
Come to the games. When you get there, follow along with the cheerleaders and Band. Create the environment that we all talk about wishing that we had.
We can make the Pete such a hard environment to play in.
Lets take the ASUN. Tournament needs to come through J’ville.
GO COCKS!

Man. Why can't they just do it over a 4 day weekend in one spot like we did in the OVC? I could potentially swing the quarters and semis but I'll be back in NYC by the finals. Why they gotta put it on a heccin Tuesday?

Why they gotta put it on a heccin Tuesday? ESPN probably said they had to have it on Tuesday. You get better attendance if it is on campus and it makes it easier for the top seed. I am in Atlanta for work mostly but I will definitely be there for the championship if possible. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

But it means the tournament has to be across a longer timespan to account for travel. Making the game on a Tuesday kinda stinks for all the people who aren't within a stones throw of Jacksonville that would like to go. But then again, I'm sure in our case that minority is very small.

The Tuesday final is definitely a buzz kill and it really sucks for fans who don’t live in or within a couple hours at most from the host city. But it is what it is. I definitely wouldn’t be going to Evansville and won’t be in Frisco in 2024.

Making the game on a Tuesday kinda stinks for all the people who aren't within a stones throw of Jacksonville that would like to go. But then again, I'm sure in our case that minority is very small. Weekday games make it hard for anyone outside the immediate Calhoun County area (and nearly impossible for anyone with school-aged kids) but the decision was made (or at least, pushed) by some suit at ESPN, and if you told him this, he'd cock his head to the side, give you a confused look, and say, "But... that's why you stay home and watch it on ESPN...?" That said, crowd size is a very good reason for holding games on campus instead of in a central location. I attended enough playoff games in my time in the pep band (both in D-I and in D-II) to see the clear difference between a packed, crazy house full of fans and a 3/4 empty 10,000-seat arena in a major city containing nothing but a few affluent alumni, some players' families, and a handful of locals who are just there because they like the game of basketball. Give me the crazies all day long. Even if I have to watch it on TV...
