It’ll be a arms race. There needs to be some kind of regulation governing the amount. Grambling like jsu is losing money on athletics like 90% of all schools this will just further the loses to unacceptable levels. How do schools continue to fund athletics when the cost grows with no end in sight. What will be cut to pay for more? The P5 will quickly move into semi pro football we will never have a 150 million dollar budget. And we don’t have boosters or sponsor who will shell out that money for us.
In my opinion this is an opportunity for G5 or fcs football to remain true college football. It seems a real shame to watch college football become a shadow of itself.
