Guys this schedule is very good for a new FBS program. You have to learn to walk before you run. If JSU is close at the end of the 3rd quarter against EMU, USM and GA Southern you need to be happy that you have a shot to win. We've hung with and beaten far better teams.

As a FCS school that wasn't taken seriously by the likes of Ole Miss, FSU and Auburn. Those games were enjoyable and JSU should stay proud of that. Now for a few years it will be a big task building a good G5 FBS roster. As the roster gets stronger, the schedule could get stronger, with the likes of regional schools like Memphis, Tulane, UAB, USF, etc. Wouldn't be surprised to see some home & home games with the likes of those schools starting in 2027 or so. This year's Coastal Carolina game could really tell the staff where they are at. Staying in the FCS mindset will only lead to frustration.
