I thought it was an interception also. As I remember ESPN didn't show any freeze frame pictures, so we don't know what the ref saw that we didn't, along with possible other angles. Refs don't reverse a call without good reason. They don’t move a football two feet further to gift a team with a first down because the unofficial marker was misplaced, but the replay official did. Where they spotted the ball was further downfield than even where his slide ended. Yes it looks like he blew that one.

Yup. A lot of us could do better. With all the technology that is available, that was clearly an interception. Replay is a joke.

Just had to add this info. Statistic of the day! 3 count'em 3 penalties for 25 yds! Can I get an amen?! And 2 of them kind of bogus. How do have an illegal block when you are now on defense? And a false start for throwing a towel out of the way? Look at the 3:54 mark. That is how Webb was called for an illegal block. Webb was not trying to make a tackle, he was trying to eliminate the blocker. www.youtube.com/watch?v=lydxrx1MPgs

Which even if unintentional, is an illegal block by definition.

Leap at the guy with the ball? Are you really going to go with that? I guess you did. Freeze it at the 3:53 mark.

Freeze it at the 3:53 mark. ...and you think a QB who just threw an interception is running at a DB returning the pick to the endzone in order to cut block someone? An illegal block below the waist is never called on a defender. I have watched thousands of games over almost 50 years and never seen that called on a defensive player diving to make a tackle - and I have seen plenty of those. There was literally no one between the DB and the endzone, and Zion's dive is literally what drove him out of bounds. Had Webb not done it, it was a pick-6. It was a bad call.

The rule changed just a couple of years ago to protect defenseless players and is a point of emphasis this year

Bad call or not I liked that our play on the feild made the few penalties we did accrue not matter at all in the grand scheme of things.

Even on the CRR radio show last night, Mike mentioned only 3 penalties. They talked about the other 2 and didn't even mentioned this one. You are wrong. Listen to tooldtocare.
