When will Jax State ramp up excitement about our upcoming move to CUSA and FBS. Also how would you suggest we start to generate excitement for those outside what feels like a smallish circle.

When will Jax State ramp up excitement about our upcoming move to CUSA and FBS. Also how would you suggest we start to generate excitement for those outside what feels like a smallish circle. This move, FCS to FBS, is really only a change for football. With that in mind the “ramp up” should be football driven. Here is an order/timeline to generate excitement: 1. This week should be all about winning our final FCS game and Conference Championship. Win or lose we should spend the rest of November celebrating and reflecting on our accomplishments during the years we were an FCS program. 2. Beginning on December 1st, it should be all about the future 3. Announce “specific” timelines for the stadium renovations. Regular updates on a regular basis MUST occur. 4. Beginning with the early signing period in December, EVERY player who commits to JSU is an FBS athlete. Use each of those signings to promote the “new era”. 5. The release of the 12 game fall schedule should be treated as the most important marketing opportunity of the year. Have a specific and coordinated plan in advance, and execute that plan. There should be a “for three days only” special ticket pricing for general admission season tickets. All ticket marketing from that point forward should be with the short term goal of insuring our first home game as an FBS program next Fall is a “Standing Room Only” sell out. 6. For the February “National Signing Day, we will sign the majority of our HS recruits on this day, it should be about those players and how they fit our plans for success. 7. Continue promoting the move right up to fall kickoff. Go JSU Gamecocks!!!

This move, FCS to FBS, is really only a change for football. I agree with 99.9% of your post. My only quibble is this statement. I mean, I get what you're saying -- other sports aren't changing NCAA divisions, just conferences -- but for most sports, notably basketball, there will be a HUGE leap in the quality of competition and visibility, going from the ASUN to CUSA. CUSA basketball attendance in 2021-22 was nearly double that of the ASUN, and the league will be far stronger, top to bottom. (Especially considering the ASUN's two strongest teams from last season are entering CUSA together.) How good the new CUSA actually is remains to be seen. We're still a mid-major, so any given year, we could slide below the ASUN in a given sport, but on the whole, it's a much better league. JSU need to market it as such, especially in basketball.

JSU needs their very best in everything this next couple of months. This is critical time for our school with fcs to fbs, recruiting, new facilities, and a continued push for 10k students. We need an A+ effort from JSU.
