You see humor I see potential national championship. I totally agree. Spend money on the minor sports to win National Championships, which will generate news, then interest, then better athletes, then increased fans and then increased donations. Look what has happened at UA since Saban started winning NCs. Baseball and basketball have come back. Gymnastics, Softball. Rowing , Cross Country even the special sports like wheelchair tennis, (NC this year) are Nationally competing for championships. How much NIL money do you think it takes for a rifle, bowling or volleyball team? I know that football money funds everything, but has anyone stepped out of the box to try something innovative? sounds like the Stanford way of thinking of sports. No thanks

Because of the increase in football scholarships, Title IX required Jax State add a women's sport. Bowling satisfied that requirement. Then with Coach O'Keefe wanting to upgrade to a D-1 school, it became a natural. Coach's corporate sponsor is providing bowling balls, shoes, and uniforms for the school. So for national publicity & a possible NC, all we're out is 5 scholarships & some travel dollars. In the corporate world where I spent 35 years, that is an awesome ROI. MARKETING would be racking up $$ come bonus time. Plus, there are 250-300 Alabama high schools with bowling teams. The free publicity is great for recruiting those students.
Coach O'Keefe was unhappy about low preseason ranking, expected Jax to be 1 or 2. Also, I have it on good authority the coach is in a relationship with the Director of Bowling Operations.

I assume the official beer of Jax State bowling is Busch Light? After all, bowling sober is against the rules right?

Coach O'Keefe was unhappy about low preseason ranking, expected Jax to be 1 or 2. Take notes, folks. A coach is unhappy with a "low" preseason Top 10 ranking. This is all the evidence we need that Seitz bowled a 300 on this hire. Also, I have it on good authority the coach is in a relationship with the Director of Bowling Operations. Can confirm.

I had no idea when bowling season was This was an exhibition match. And we exhibited an ass kicking. (I can't believe I have resorted to bowling smack talk).
