If this happens definitely a step down. Not surprising with no NIL & none available in near future. Be best if I take a leave from this board. Not sure I understand any of the logic there. Are you saying this board will become toxic at that point or the very mention of him is worth leaving? I just posted what I found on another site. I don’t know that he would be a step down. He won 41 games at bama state… we haven’t won 40 games in a season since I was in school. Of the 9 seasons ASU has won over 30 games in the last 40 years, he has 4 of them. I don’t know that he is the answer, but I wouldn’t call him a step down. Case couldn’t win 40 at JSU. ASU swept us and beat UAB. You have to feel like he could draw better players at JSU than at Bama State. I would rate him as a better choice than an unproven assistant or high school coach. Winning at Bama State In baseball is like winning at Tulane in Football. It isn’t easy to do. They are probably 7th in the state in terms of tradition in the sport.

The ones making the real money off of NIL are the ones with social media followers. The players need to develop some content to attract viewers. Or the "companies" managing the NIL. I would guess a 10% fee would be the minimum and maybe 30% on the high end.

Rest assured there will be plenty of professionals to step up and take money from any nil agreement. The winners in all this will be those who do not nor have ever played a sport.
