What’s your favorite place for wings? Mine is Jefferson’s BBQ, can’t beat it. The original Jefferson’s is the best one of them all

Jefferson's hot. The OG Jefferson's is the only one with quality control left that I've been to.

Jefferson's will always have a spot in my heart as it is the first place I had hot wings.
I liked the Turbo, though I don't find them to be very spicy these days. I have developed iron tastebuds.
Years ago, Struts wings were virtually identical... but the last time I was there they weren't as good.
Outside of J'ville I have had all of the major chains and a LOT of local fare. Aside from Mint Bar and Grill in Pattaya, Thailand, nothing comes close to Jefferson's. I LIKE Hooters 911. Beef O'Brady's Atomic jumped the shark and got too hot when they revised their sauce in 2011. Buffalo Wings and Rings are okay. I actually quite like the hot wings at "Wing Street" branded Pizza Hut restaurants. They are fried and the sauce is good - if not authentic Buffalo.
The only wings better than Jefferson's that I have eaten were from my own kitchen. I do a double breaded wing with a sauce based on Frank's - with ample Chili powder, garlic, karo syrup, and butter (as well as a few other things). It is kind of a cross between Jefferson's Turbo and Zaxby's Nuclear (California style garlic powder from Costco).
In Jacksonville, you really can't go wrong with Jeff's.

The location was fantastic, not sure why it didn’t work. They wanted to be a family restaurant instead of sports bar and then sold it back to corporate and tried to make it a sports bar again. Just a weird situation.
