This year we will leave the main board open during gameday. The Gameday board will be opened for the games. We encourage members to post there in the gameday thread. The Gameday board does NOT require registration for posting. That enables opponent fans to post without having to go through the song and dance required to register for a membership they will only use on one day.
I anticipate with our move to the FBS we will see an uptick in visitors on gameday. Be sure to show our guests the Southern Hospitality that made Jax State famous as "The Friendliest Campus in the South."
Go Gamecocks! We Are Jax State!

So far, I've got to say the broadcast is far superior to espn Was literally thinking the same thing! Also, very nice to see the logo on the ticker. It looks great! Do not fire the intern who came up with it! 👀

So far, I've got to say the broadcast is far superior to espn By far, this is the best production quality I've ever seen in our games. Little things like having the first down line and line of scrimmage on the field made it feel much more polished. The sideline reporting was excellent. The nat mics picked up the crowd wonderfully. It sounded like a big time game. And the announcers! The pregame crew demonstrated knowledge of league storylines. And the in-game crew was a breath of fresh air. Their audio equipment was crisp and they sounded like they actually talked to the players and coaches. The crew ESPN sends usually just recycles Wikipedia facts. I'm thoroughly impressed with CBS Sports.

I think the ESPN broadcasts were produced by students, and the announcers, color commentator, etc. we're local TV and radio personalities. This is true for ESPN+ streams. But those rare times we got on ESPN3 and better networks, ESPN just sent their benchwarmers to do the production and announcing. Hopefully being an FBS on ESPN will demand a bit more quality. And yes, CBS did great. The biggest upgrade for me wasn't the game itself. When they cut to the studio during halftime and (especially) post game, they didn't just say, "Quite a game in Jacksonville. Now let's talk about Enormous U's upcoming battle against Big Money State." Instead, they actually spent a large chunk of time discussing the Jax State game. It threw me off. But in a good way.

I thought it was the best home broadcast I ever remember watching. Makes me kinda wish our media deal was with CBS. I guess we will see how ESPN handles us in FBS.
