Those end zones look good. Also like the addition of Burgess-Snow. Did not like the state outline as much as I thought I would. Still prefer the profile gamecock for the midfield logo - just larger.

I'm not the biggest fan of the white outline for the state. I actually like the way Northern Iowa does theirs. It's more of a watermark than a graphic.

Do you have an example of the UNI logo you're talking about? I couldn't find one, even on a historical logos site.

Oh, I see it. They were able to skirt around the NCAA regs concerning midfield logos and the hashmarks by making the state outline the same color as the darker parts of the field. Clever. (For those of you wanting a larger logo... if you follow that link, you'll see that the "full color" part of the logo stops within the hashes.)

I like the 80’s profile logo at midfield, but can you add the AKC to the opposite side of the field from the CUSA logos? That’d be perfect. Also, I like the full color AKC. It is cleaner looking and matches the coloring of the 80’s profile gamecock. I like the yellow, only as long as it is used minimally. It should never be considered a primary color and only used as an accent. I like the idea of the yellow foot and sour, but only if it appears on a red and/or white background. I’ve got a cap that has the attack chicken on the front, but has an extreme closeup of the front portion of the 80’s profile on the side showing the yellow beak, white mane (for lack of the proper term) and the yellow foot on a red and black background that looks pretty sharp. I think the solution is to use all three of these logos within proper specifications. For example, the “Jax State” logo doesn’t fit in many graphic applications for TV purposes (nor does the attack chicken) because it is primarily horizontal. However the AKC, and to some extent, the Profile would be perfect! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

One end zone needs to say Gamecocks.
Both need to be a combination of red, White and black colors, but the letters should be the same colors. For example white end zone black letters outlined in red. I wold like to see all of those combinations and then a poll posted. Then the same with the midfield logo

Replace the NCAA logos with the AKC. We don’t need them anymore anyway.

Only for FCS playoff games. Well I guess they will be gone soon enough.

Only for FCS playoff games. Yeah, I was surprised to see that the NCAA does not require its name on the field. If they don't require it, we shouldn't give it to them. As for the field design itself... I think we're reaching a consensus on the logos: 80s profile bird (as large as possible) at midfield; AKC in place of the NCAA logos on the 25s. Not everyone is in 100% agreement, mind you... but the consensus seems to be there. But the end zones are still wide open for debate, both for the colors and for the verbiage. I prefer the bi-color JAXSTATE in both end zones (red JAX, white STATE, against a black background) strictly from a branding/marketing perspective: 1) The red and white lettering against the black really pops. Add a white outline around the red letters and a red outline around the white letters, and it pops even more. It's just my opinion, but it seems to me to reinforce our Red/White color scheme more than a simple Red and White end zone (sans black) would. 2) Squashing the two words together and using colors to separate JAX and STATE allows the lettering to be larger and more readable. The space you'd need to make two separate words takes up a surprising amount of room. 3) The consensus field design has bird logos in three separate locations on the field, so "GAMECOCKS" in the end zones doesn't add much if anything to establish our mascot. But if you have "JAX STATE" in both end zones, then no matter where a score (or a goal-line stand) happens, the broadcast will pick up the name of the school. And beyond the game itself, if we get a "Play of the Day" on SportsCenter, the school name would get tons of free coverage. When I have a bit more time, I'll post mockups of the end zones with different color and verbiage combos, along with a poll. It may not be today, but possibly tomorrow. If anyone else has any ideas to throw in, let me know. I've got all these possibilities saved as layers in a Photoshop doc, so I can swap most stuff out pretty easily. Oh... one question for everybody: Specifically for the AKC on the 25s (replacing the NCAA logos)... do you guys prefer the two-color red-and-white bird that was on the WKU helmets, or the four-color bird with a red-and-white bird with yellow beaks and feet, outlined in black?
