Many of the schools we recruit against have one, so if we don't, we look less than to recruits. If we want bigger, better, faster players to win games against schools like Liberty, then we need one. If we want to recruit against Asun and OVC schools then let's stay put.

I'm sure it will be adjusted but I'd much rather have a regular indoor

I'm sure it will be adjusted but I'd much rather have a regular indoor That would add another 5 to 10 million I'd imagine.

Looks great to me. Rumor is it will double as a state of the art unicorn breeding facility.

Still believe facilities will be a huge draw at G5 schools. NILs will never be to consistent except the top few players or the few a donor or two want to give money.
Use of this facility, if not restricted, could be greater than just football. Weight room portion is probably as costly or more than the covered field portion.
Am I for or against, would need the know the options.

What is the usage expectancy of the facility? Ten years, twenty years then we do it again? Or better yet one tornado hits it after the earthquake! As I said it is a want not a need. Not to mention raising $10 million when the University's endowment is less than six times that amount (Google-$57 million) UA has over $1 BILLION UAB is over $700 million We are not in the same league, financially, so we should be extremely cautious about who we "think" we are recruiting against

Can the university give money to players?

Can the university give money to players? No But the University does not have the $10 million for this project, yet. That is why it is being shown pubically. To help raise the funds. It all comes from the same alumni. NIL, scholarships for everything, new facilities (might have some state matching), etc

For $10 million? Because UAB has one? How many days did it rain practice out in Sep? I don't even know if it rained in Sep. Is our entire Athletic budget more than $25 million, yet? Someone fact check this: Practices are less than three hours each. Four or five days a week for about 20 weeks, more for CFP teams. Do the math with number of hours of practice that were rained out. This is a want not a need. Put the $10 million toward something needed! Rich Rod wants this built. Someone once told us that since Rich Rod makes $800K to lead this program, and none of us on this message board do, we shouldn't question him or his decisions.

Rain is one part, but I would imagine it has as much to do with keeping the sun off the team and the players cooler during August camp.
Rather see our stadium be the desired place to play and watch games before we invest in this A-frame.

Not questioning the coach about his WANTS, but JSU doesn't need to spend $10 million on this project right now. I want us to have top notch everything, but don't have $10 million to make it happen. If I did this would be on the list, but not at the top. We have other needs.
