Anyone else been hearing rumors about the convoluted transaction process? Yes. And you may be too kind calling it convoluted.

Yes. And you may be too kind calling it convoluted. I put a great deal of effort into it😂 I went back and read the article, and it implies we are dealing directly with the owner. No agents. Also, them saying they were *trying* to get it done by Christmas let's me know there's probably more to it than just writing a check and them signing over a deed.

A quick scan of the article didn't list who the owner is, which might be interesting info if anyone knows. Also, the name Amy Angel sounds familiar.

And Gary Angel's daughter-in-law, for those who knew Gary.

And Gary Angel's daughter-in-law, for those who knew Gary. THAT's why it sounded familiar. I don't think I'll ever be able to stop referring to Angel Hall as Bibb Graves.

Bibb Graves (that's what I call it too) is now Angle Hall. Spelled like the intersection of two rays; pronounced like the heavenly entity.

I knew the correct spelling, but after being corrected numerous times by various university friends that the name AngLE was actually pronounced AngEL, I just forgot & spelled it the way it's pronounced. Unfortunately, my sadly undersized brain just finds it a bit too confusing. Apologies to both the Angle & Angel families & all mathematicians & theologians everywhere.

I love history but tearing down an old house that has no real significance other than it’s old doesn’t bother me.

I love history but tearing down an old house that has no real significance other than it’s old doesn’t bother me. To be clear, that was all just speculation by townies. No one from the university has said what the plans are for it yet as far as I know.
