The No. 2 game on ESPN, a mere 110K viewers behind Ohio and Ga Southern.
What impresses me most, though, is that we finished ahead of Texas Tech and Cal by 70K viewers. I mean, yeah, that game had a late start with a 9:15 PM Eastern kick, but still. It's rare to see "Power" teams trailing us in the ratings on the same network, on the same day. I'm going to claim it as a victory.
Montana and NDSU sure didn't help their cause for getting into FBS, though. Arguably the two biggest remaining marquee names in FCS, in a pivotal Saturday game in primetime on the Deuce, and they could only muster 790K viewers. That's just not going to motivate the suits at ESPN to push for any conference to extend an invite. And certainly not one on the opposite side of the country. CUSA fans can rest easy...

Thanks for this Gem, I was just about to ask if anyone had seen the numbers. Also, if anyone didn't watch RR's post game presser, you should take a minute. The real joy he shows during the entire thing is great to see, plus the same for the players. He talked about changing the culture of the program, something we've discussed a lot in the forum, & what type of player he wants. It just made me even more excited for the future of the program.

What, not a mention of anything "blue collar"?
