Saw a brief video on YT last night about Ryan Perrilloux, seemed like one of those 5 minute things that local TV stations do occasionally. It showed Ryan back in his hometown in La., visiting the people who he said had the most influence on him, with inserts of his high school coach & clips of him at LSU, being inducted into the La. sports HoFame, etc. Not a single mention of JSU. Only what his career could've been if he'd stayed at LSU.
He seems content with his life now, though nothing was said of what he's doing career-wise. He was always respectful towards me in our limited interactions, & I think he gave it his best effort whenever he stepped on the field for the Gamecocks. I wish him the best.

We really took a gamble with him. I know he got into trouble a couple of times and it got swept under the rug. I still think we make a deep playoff run if we were eligible.

One of the best QBs to ever play at JSU. Top 3 in my eyes with Eli Jenkins bring number 1

One of the best QBs to ever play at JSU. Top 3 in my eyes with Eli Jenkins bring number 1 You're not old enough to rate JSU's all time best QB's !! (AEKDB!)
Perrilloux was the highest rated QB who played for JSU. These guys played well before player ratings were a thing.
You should have lived thru the eras of Ralph "Dieter" Brock, Ed Lett, David Gulledge, & Corky Gordon to rate JSU qb's (this group begins in the 70's).
I've NEVER seen a better arm than Brock who went on to dominate the CFL. Lett was a two time All-American & set many JSU records. Gulledge signed with Clemson but missed a core subject in high school so he came to Jax. After the season, Danny Ford said "if we'd had David we would have won the National Championship. Gordon was a super productive qb who led Bill Burgess' team to JSU's national championship.
I was a RP fan, but these guys have to be in the discussion of JSU's top QB's.

I believe Dieter came extremely close to leading the LA Rams to a Super Bowl after the CFL.

I believe Dieter came extremely close to leading the LA Rams to a Super Bowl after the CFL. And he would've, too, if not for Ditka and da Bears.

Those Rams probably would have bested the Patriots that year too. That was one of the least contested Super Bowls in history.

The Bears were definitely the real deal.

I watched Brock play for Winnipeg and Hamilton for several years. He was the real deal too. Too bad he didn’t get a shot in the NFL when he was just a little younger.

Amazing Pat Sullivan was choosen over him at Auburn. Never understood that move from an athletic stand point.
