Went down the rabbit hole on YouTube the other day. Found videos of most of our D-II championship games. Does anyone know where I could find a copy of the 1977 game vs. Lehigh? I found highlights only from the Lehigh perspective (granted, there weren’t many JSU highlights)
Or maybe the NDSU semifinal game played in Anniston that same season?
I actually have audio recorded off of the TV by a goofy 11 year old who can be heard blowing a vuvuzella in the background (stupid kid who will remain nameless ;-))

I believe DL Jesse Baker played in that game. Best DL of all time for JSU!? Very fast - played for the Houston Oilers for a bunch of years.

Yes. He was the defensive MVP of that game. From his Wikipedia: Baker played nine seasons in the NFL with the Oilers. He recorded 15.5 quarterback sacks and returned a fumble for a touchdown in his rookie season in 1979, despite starting only two of 16 games. He recorded 6.5 sacks in 1980 and 10 more in 1981 as a part-timer before becoming a starter in the strike shortened 1982 season. Baker started 57 consecutive games and recorded 29.5 more sacks.[2] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I remember NDSU practicing in Oxford' s stadium. I was able to shag balls from their punter at the end of their practices. For a sixth grader that was really exciting.
That next fall, I remember watching Oxford playing in the first game at "new" Paul Snow. Coach Burgess led us to a 41-0 victory over Jacksonville For some reason, at that point in my life Football became my favorite sport and baseball moved to number two.
I was one of those kids that was fortunate to be around the Athletic program when I was not at practice myself. I remember when I was given a coveted 0464 on a shoelace.
