Any old timers remember this show? I was 13 at the time and don't recall hearing anything about it. Would have loved to see that. According to setlist.fm they closed with Life is a Carnival. They were on the southern leg of their Northern Lights/Southern Cross tour. They had played Austin, LSU, and Southern Miss on the previous shows and headed to Syracuse, NY after the JSU show. Here is a grainy black and white video of that tour. This was shot about 6 weeks after the JSU show.

Hi. My name is Michael . I was actually SGA President when that show occurred. A promoter out of Birmingham rented The Pete from the school and staged the show. I recall he owned the Angry Revolt on the Southside. A popular head shop. He was the son of the Forbes Piano family. The show was fantastic, but unfortunately sparsely attended. Many came from Atlanta to see it. Not many students. Back in that time however, The SGA did many shows that did very well. Good memories. Linda Ronstadt, Jimmy Buffett, Charle Daniel’s and Stephen Stills are a few that I recall. Marshall Tucker was under contract , but cancelled 2 times , prompting a lawsuit , lol.

Thanks for that info. I came to JSU about 5 years after this. I have to seriously question the music appreciation of the JSU students if they didn't show for The Band.
