I can't wrap my head around all these rules, although I'll admit I haven't put much effort into it. It seems anything other than a business coming to a player asking them to do a commercial or some other advertisement would be a violation.

The NCAA has always persecuted teams in such a unequal manner. It's usually the G5 that gets the hammer though. I guess raising a fuss lowers your stock.

I was just pointing out that the NCAA does distribute penalties equally. Some get hammered others barely get scolded. Will there be any real consequences to Michigan's cheating?
