another university told me , he was dividing his yearly gift to the school . Half goes to the athletic department and the other half to the NIL fund. He said that’s the only way to try and keep up . Not end up being the worse NCAA athletic program there is .
Have any of you thought about doing this ?

I have not taken that approach because JSU has so many bills to pay for infrastructure / buildings / stadium improvements... I've wanted my $$ to go toward the greater good and not be directly invested in recruiting.
I understand their approach, and perhaps I'll shift my giving strategy in the future.

All the top schools do not need to be donating to the school but to NIL. JSU type of donations need to go to the school before NIL

All the top schools do not need to be donating to the school but to NIL. JSU type of donations need to go to the school before NIL I understand but we need to make sure we still making bowl games . Teams that make bowls usually have fans at their games . That will also produce revenue.
