If I were a player on this team

Just being honest .

Not the results we have been getting . I expected use to at least show we are a level up to Samford . We can’t even beat them . I didn’t expect many pitchers with double digit ERAs to be brought in thinking they are the pitcher for the inning.

Take the Troy game . We pitched 15 pitchers and it wasn’t even an extra inning game . Look at the box score and look at all the high ERAs .


Hitting we have two players hitting above 300 . Our DH isn’t even batting a 100 . Posters here say give the coach a chance. The warning signs are already showing . It was showing before we hire him .

It will not be any better next year or the next . But we will keep him for four years and let him wreck our tradition in baseball. Ticket sales will be low . Then yall will then join me in my opinion just three years too late.

Not every player will . Especially if there is hope for improvement and they feel like they getting good coaching . Jim Case made sure we had first class stuff to help players to development.

Your post is the kind that is dangerous to success for the size school we are . You expect any players having success will be gone . That’s not always the case . I mean I give Ray a hard time but our leading basketball scorer is still on the team . We did not lose him . That speaks well of Ray .

I’m not stiring a pot . I’m posting my opinion base on results I see . With facts using examples such as batting averages and ERAs . Powerful numbers that reflect our results.

You use Samford and troy state as your examples of how bad we are??

Both of those are Top 100 teams.

Out of 305 Div. I teams, they are both ranked in the top third. They don't suck. It's not like we're dropping games to Bama State (#293) or Alabama A&M (#300).

When last season ended, the Gamecocks were ranked in the mid 200s. We're currently #177. That's a serious improvement in one season, DESPITE NOT ENJOYING THE BENEFIT OF AN ACTIVE NIL COLLECTIVE.

In Jim Case's final couple of years, we were there around Peay and EKU. Now we're around Marshall and UAB, without Beiser even having the benefit of a full recruiting class. Given another couple years of recruiting and development, there's no reason he can't get us into the Top 100 or even higher.

But no coach in America is going to take a team like Peay or EKU and -- short of having a few million dollars of NIL funds to play with -- turn them into DBU or Coastal Carolina in a single offseason. It just won't happen.

But there are plenty who can do it within 3-5 seasons. So can we PLEASE stop shouting from the rooftops how big a mistake Beiser's hiring was, before he's even had a full 12 months to show what he can do?

The more you shout it, the more ignorant you appear. No, it's not ignorance. You've been told. You've been shown. At some point, it's got to move past ignorance firmly into the realm of pure, unadulterated stupidity.

It's so freaking tiresome. Just stop.

I look at wins and loses and productivity like batting avgs and ERAs. Also conference standings . You showing the RPI rankings .That is meaningless until seedings for the ncaa .

Samford is in a conference below us as CUSA and we can’t beat them. Troy state is equal to us being in the sunbelt and we can’t beat them . This weekend and next weekend will be big. We play liberty and DBU, how do you think we will fair ?

Ignorance? So far the record and where we rank in the conference proven me correct . Oh yeah and our overall record. I have not looked at our RPI ranking in some time but at this point it’s meaningless.

I like straight 100 dollar bills. I hate it when they break it and give five twenty dollar bills.
