As far as I know, there isn't a single landing place to find out the status of Gamecock players leaving or coming in via the Transfer Portal. So this is the best I can offer.
No guarantees I got everyone. It's a longer list than I expected, but at least a couple of these guys barely if ever played for the Gamecocks.
OUT:
TE Trae Barry - Boston College (signed)
LB Zack Woodard - UL Monroe (signed)
WR Jared Scott - Idaho State (signed)
P Cole Porch - Birmingham Southern (signed)
S Marquez Henry - ETSU (signed)
DB Jacquez Payton - Alabama State (signed)
DB Jamias Presley - Prairie View A&M (signed)
DB Darius Joiner - Western Illinois (signed)
QB A.C. Graham - left team; plans unknown; still enrolled at JSU.
IN:
QB Hunter Raquet (Fresno State/Cal Poly) signed with JSU in June; Confirmed on Fall 2021 Roster
TE Sean Brown (Univ. of Tennessee) signed with JSU in June; Confirmed on Fall 2021 Roster
OL Brevyn Jones (Mississippi State/Univ. of Illinois) signed with JSU in July; Missing from Fall 2021 Roster; Confirmed enrolled Fall 2021
K Brenton King (Georgia Tech / Liberty); Confirmed on Fall 2021 Roster
WR/KR Damond Philyaw-Johnson (Duke Univ.); Confirmed on Fall 2021 Roster
PLAYERS WHO TRANSFERRED TO JSU IN 2021 IN TIME FOR SPRING '21:
WR Isaiah Montgomery (Tennessee) signed with JSU in Feb.; appeared in 5 games, finishing with 3 receptions for 48 yards.
WR Mike Pettway (Washington State) signed with JSU in Jan.; appeared in 9 games this spring, finishing with 18 receptions for 239 yards and 2 TDs. He also added 8 rushes for 55 yards, and averaged 25.1 yards on 8 kickoff returns.
LB Taji Stewart (Univ. of South Alabama) signed with JSU in Jan.; appeared in 2 games, finishing with 5 tackles and a TFL.
(THIS LIST DOES NOT INCLUDE TRANSFERS FROM SUMMER AND FALL 2020!)
UNACCOUNTED FOR: (As of 8/23/2021)
S Jacob Dendy (Harding Univ.) signed with JSU in August; Missing from Fall 2021 Roster
OG / DE / TE Deven Jones (Univ. of Tennessee) signed with JSU in July; Missing from Fall 2021 Roster
PLAYERS WHO TRANSFERRED IN BUT DIDN'T STICK:
TE Jackson Lowe (Univ. of Tennessee) signed with JSU in Sept. 2020, then reportedly re-entered the Portal in January, without ever playing a game for JSU. Apparently now at Kennesaw State.
QB/WR BeSean McCray (UCA / Hinds CC) signed with JSU in June / Returned to Hinds CC.

If I understand the recent SCOTUS decision correctly, why are we not moving all of the athletic scholarship players who qualify to academic scholarships? This would free up to 48 full rides if you can still go to 105 on the roster. With FCS ability to split the 67 athletic ones you should be able to get money to everyone on a 105 roster and if you recruit the right ones all with full rides.

Then he fell off the planet. IN:QB/WR BeSean McCray (UCA / Hinds CC) signed with JSU in June QB Hunter Raquet (Fresno State/Cal Poly) signed with JSU in June TE Sean Brown (Tennessee) signed with JSU in June Also, if we're counting pickups in 2021, we have to include WR Mike Pettway, who we landed off the Portal in January from Washington State. Pettway appeared in 9 games this spring, finishing with 18 receptions for 239 yards and 2 TDs. He also added 8 rushes for 55 yards, and averaged 25.1 yards on 8 kickoff returns. (I think all the other transfers who were eligible this spring signed in 2020.) Do you know anything about Isaiah Montgomery? Rivals listed him as a transfer WR from Tennessee.

Do you know anything about Isaiah Montgomery? Rivals listed him as a transfer WR from Tennessee. I'll add him to the list of incoming. I wasn't going to list any of the players who played this spring, but Mike Pettway's stats jumped out at me, and I had to recognize him in my initial post. As for Isaiah Montgomery, he appeared in 5 games for the Gamecocks this spring, finishing with 3 catches for 48 yards. He redshirted at Tennessee, then got the free year from COVID, so he'll have four full years of eligibility remaining.

Added Tennessee transfer Deven Jones.
Jones was a PWO for the Vols, and never played. He has four full years of eligibility remaining.
Freaking great size (6-4, 305) and seems to be more athlete than fat, which is obviously a good thing. If his self-reported 4.8 40 time is accurate, he has true NFL-caliber athleticism for someone that size. THAT SAID, his weaknesses appear to be in technique and experience, and possibly instincts. He'll need to be coached up to reach anywhere near pro potential. But first, the coaches will have to find a position for him. He has tackle size, but inexperience could limit him there. He could become an outstanding guard, especially at the FCS level. If his speed and quickness check out, you could flip him over to DE and he could become a holy terror for opposing QBs. And there's always tight end, which, believe it or not, is his dream position. He'd really have to trim down to play DE or TE effectively, but he may be able to do it. If nothing else, he's an intriguing prospect.

If he gels quickly then see how a DE role would suit him.

My question is why was he a pwo at Tennessee? It's not like UT is a destination for five star talent. What's going on that he hasn't found a place there with his size and quickness.

My question is why was he a pwo at Tennessee? It's not like UT is a destination for five star talent. What's going on that he hasn't found a place there with his size and quickness. He played his senior season for a mediocre private school team in Knoxville. He didn't really face off against too many SEC-caliber opponents, so he got by with quickness and brute strength. As far as I can tell, he never attended any of the premier recruiting camps where he'd be tested against four- and five-star talent. The Vols were smart not to burn a scholarship on him. Give him a PWO deal, and let him prove if he belongs in the SEC. Even if he flamed out with the Vols (and in fairness to him, I don't know his reason for leaving them, though I applaud him for it), it doesn't mean he can't be a huge contributor for the Gamecocks. Tennessee may not have five stars waiting behind five stars like the Bamas and UGAs of the world, but even the bottom of the SEC is light years beyond FCS in talent and depth. Very few linemen at that level ever see the field as true freshmen.

Updated the status of DB Jamias Presley, who has signed with Prairie View A&M.
Only safety Darius Joiner remains in Transfer Portal limbo.

Any news on Boobie? I heard he is back in the transfer portal. I don’t know what his problems are, but he never saw the field at Western Illinois after leading Auburn in rushing for two years. Something does not compute. Maybe it was an eligibility issue.

Monday update: No news on Darius Joiner.
And nothing further on Boobie. If we needed RBs, I'd hope we we'd be all over him, but I think we're set there for at least another season or two.

Agree, I think our stable is full of horses currently. Now let's get them proper blocking and proper play calling to let them run free. Looking at you HCJG.
