Is it just me or are airports busier now than they were pre-covid?
In ATL changing planes for Nashville and this place is as full as I ever remember seeing it.

I haven't been on a flight yet since March 2020 but it's my understanding they're worse than pre-pandemic levels. I think people are getting out of their basements finally and travel is exploding, plus it's summer vacation travel season also. One thing I will definitely miss about the pandemic is the smaller crowd sizes, regarding pretty much anything that involved crowds.

That's definitely how it seems. Every week I fly there's just more and more. I thought it would slow down a little after the 4th, but no.

Taking my first business trip tomorrow since the pandemic started last year, granted it's via rental car and not flying. Wife asked me if I was looking forward to it and honestly I said "not really". Meh.

I am on the road for work a lot as well. But it is all driving, no planes. The hotels and restaurants all look alive to me.

Maybe I have an incorrect idea of Taiwan but I always thought of it being a very techy, well off region like South Korea, Japan, or Singapore. I would think Vietnam would be a really big change. Granted, I haven't been to Asia yet so I may be way off on my thought process here.

I can't speak for living conditions, but in recent years, Vietnam has rapidly become one of China's leading economic competitors in Asia. They're right up there with South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan.

Yes, this. I know in the technology space a lot of volume is being shifted over to Vietnam for manufacturing capabilities and cheap labor. I think that will continue to increase.
