Not really an analysis. Not all wins are created equal just like not all loses are created equal.
I've said before, if we could the team play like they did when they lost to Kennesaw in 2017, I'd be happy. Yeah we lost, but I'll always remember that game because we played well and it made for a spectacular game.
And also to the point, exactly no one is impressed with how we played over our win of UNA and we have a whole slew of wins that fall under a similar category.
Here's a category to consider though:
What wins does Grass have over his tenure that really show he has what it takes to hang with the big dogs?
Basically outside of the 2015 playoff run, I don't really have much to put here.

What I can't stand is the way we lose under Grass. No way, no way should UTM have beaten us Saturday - the problem is we quit for almost 2 quarters and let them in the game. Hmmmm... didn't FSU do that? in 2010 didn't Ole Miss do the same. Let any team hang around and anything can happen. We quit and/or did not adjust Saturday and they did. Losing stinks! But lose fighting and representing your school, state and team well!

When we lose is very similar to our penalty problem. They come when you can least afford them. Often the first game we play in the playoffs no matter the opponent. If often feel like they know us precisely and we've never seen them play.

Grass presser 09/28/21 - "we just came up on the short end of the stick on Saturday". Can someone please hand him a another 3x5 index card with some different talking points? So tired of his "short end of the stick" schtick. I stopped listening to it after he explained that whichever team is better at blocking and tackling usually wins. Said in the 2nd half UTM was doing a better job of blocking and tackling than we were. Why aren't we doing a better job of the basics? Aren't blocking and tackling the fundamentals of all football programs? That's sorta the building blocks of a sound football team, it all starts there and you build off that no?

Grass has reached his potential. He says what he knows and that is it. Great guy, but time to move on.
