Love Procol Harum.
I had a strange introduction to the song "Whiter Shade of Pale." I was a bit of a nerdy kid, and was into computers before they were really a thing. My first "real" computer was a Tandy Color Computer, and I subscribed to "Rainbow Magazine," the color computer monthly magazine. I would occasionally purchase "Rainbow on tape," which had the programs included in the magazine already typed in, as well as bonus content. One of the bonus items was an audio file called "Chorale." It was a multi-voice harmony and you guessed it... it was Whiter Shade of Pale. It wasn't until years later that I heard the song and immediately recognized it. It has been on my playlist ever since.

Do you remember the gigantic punch card computer on the 3rd floor of the building formerly known as Bibb Graves (TBFKABG)?

She remembers it and hated it because the prof didn't teach them how to use it - they were expected to get an upperclassman to show them how. She was shy and couldn't ask anyone so she failed the course. That is probably why she changed majors. I only date back to the Apple III and the Multiplexer in the lab.

Yep, sounds like my experience as well. I had no clue what I was doing. Punch out hundreds of cards, load them in the hopper then watch it spit out the wide format green paper. Suddenly half way through it would stop, game over. Then you had to take all your cards and go back to troubleshoot your program to see what was wrong. Rinse and repeat. Puke.
