Thanks to a tip from an enemy combatant on twitter, we have learned that a cache of 1985 National Championship Coke bottles can be found at America's Thrift Stores in Dothan, by the Wiregrass Commons Mall, in the old Toys R Us building.
They're selling for $3.99 each (or about $4.35 after tax).
There were originally 8 bottles available, but my lovely wife was kind enough to pick one up for me on her way home from work, so now there are 7.
Here's the original tweet...
PS - Does anyone know if bottles were made for the 1992 football championship? I don't remember ever seeing one, but if such a prize exists, I must find one.

I already have the 85 bottle. I’ve never seen a 92 one.

Any idea if they are still there? I'd take one if someone would be nice enough to pick one up for me and ship it to me in Michigan. I'd cover costs obviously.

I should definitely make it by there this coming weekend, so I'll check then.

Just ran across this thread. Any update on those Coke bottles? I haven't heard anything. I'm currently in Fresno, CA so it's a bit tricky for me to get down to Dothan right now.

I'm 15 minutes away from the freaking store, but still haven't been able to get down there. It's been crazy hectic the past few weeks, and I've found myself in Oxford and Enterprise more than Dothan, which is REALLY unusual. I'll definitely check and/or pick up another bottle when I do get by there.

Finally made it by the thrift store today. The only bottle they had left was a Bear Bryant commemorative.
I asked a store worker if they had any more of the JSU bottles, and she said they went fast.
I don't know who bought the lot, but someone came away with multiple bottles.
I'm glad I got mine when I did. They didn't last, even down here in troy state territory.

I figured that would probably be the case once word got out. I appreciate you taking a look for me.
