We are now eligible for a bowl. Big asterisk But we had to become eligible for that asterisk.

But we had to become eligible for that asterisk. We've done our part. Now everybody else has to lose. And we might as well win 4 more games while we're at it.

But we had to become eligible for that asterisk. We've done our part. Now everybody else has to lose. And we might as well win 4 more games while we're at it. Winning those games will be super important for us because we potentially can knock 3 teams out of contention ourselves. I've already mentioned how we can crush South Carolinas hopes and dreams, but similar concept applies for FIU, Louisiana Tech, and New Mexico State. FIU is 3-4 and has Sam tonight, then us, Arkansas, MTSU, and Western Kentucky to close out the season. If we write off Arkansas for them as a guaranteed L, and Sam gets their first win tonight, that means we can deliver the dagger to FIUs bowl chances with a win. Louisiana Tech is 3-5 so two more losses knocks them out. They have NMSU, Liberty, Jax, and Sam to go. So even if they beat NMSU, as long as Liberty handles business, we get to deliver a dagger to LTUs bowl chances with a win. And finally NMSU is 4-3 and has UTEP tonight, LTU, MTSU, WKU, Auburn, and finally us. If they lose the last three, we still need them to lose to either UTEP, Louisiana Tech, or MTSU. A loss at any of those will knock out NMSU as long as they don't manage to upset WKU. So let's spend the rest of the season ending people's season.

I love the sentiment -- and it may be necessary -- but it would actually bolster our case for us to beat these teams and at least some of them remain bowl eligible. As it is, the CBS projection linked above includes two teams we've defeated, WKU and EMU. Of the remaining teams on our schedule, NMSU, La Tech, and South Carolina are the only ones included by CBS. I mean, we still get to crush their dreams. We just don't want to crush their bowl hopes, unless it's absolutely necessary.

We need to have as many as possible eliminated. It is possible for just us and Liberty to have six wins for the season.

Just use the same excuse the SEC always has and say CUSA is so strong and so deep we all beat each other up.

Sammy has officially been eliminated so I deleted them from the list. UTEP lost last night to join those on the bubble.
