We are not eligible for a bowl this year since we are still in transition. However, we can go if not enough teams qualify. There are 41 bowl games so there are 82 spots and 130 FBS members.
So in this thread I will be tracking the lists once teams become eligible (six wins) or ineligible (seven losses).
Bowl eligible (79) Oklahoma Georgia Louisville Michigan USC Liberty Florida St Ohio St Alabama Toledo
Fresno State Penn State Miami (OH) Washington Iowa North Carolina Missouri Air Force Notre Dame Oregon State
Rutgers Ohio Tulane Oregon Texas UNLV Mississippi Utah Georgia State LSU
Georgia Southern SMU Kansas State Kansas Memphis Miami (FL) troy state Tennessee UCLA Oklahoma State
Duke Boston College Wyoming UTSA Coastal Carolina Texas State NMSU West Virginia Kentucky NC State
Arizona Bowling Green Clemson Maryland Appalachian State Auburn Texas A&M Iowa State Northwestern Texas Tech
Western Kentucky Arkansas State Boise State Wisconsin South Alabama Georgia Tech San Jose State Eastern Michigan Utah State UCF
Northern Illinois Rice Syracuse Louisiana Marshall Old Dominion Virginia Tech USF Cal
Bowl ineligible (51) Arizona State Massachusetts Akron Kent State Army UCONN East Carolina Southern Miss Vanderbilt Ball State
Virginia Cincinnati Pitt Nevada Louisiana-Monroe Louisiana Tech MTSU Purdue UTEP Buffalo
North Texas Temple Tulsa Charlotte Indiana Baylor Arkansas Stanford San Diego State Michigan State
New Mexico UAB Western Michigan Colorado FAU Hawaii Wake Forest Houston FIU Mississippi St
TCU Nebraska Central Michigan Minnesota Illinois BYU Washington State Florida South Carolina Colorado State
Navy
Transitions James Madison 11-1 Jax State 8-4 Sam Houston 3-9

I love this, troysux. My only suggestion would be to add a third group to track the three transitional teams who would be eligible to grab any open spots. (Mainly, because if Jax State and JMU both end up with 11 wins, but there's only one slot open, there's a solid chance the Dukes would get it over the Gamecocks.) Here are the current standings (as of 10/6): James Madison 5-0 Jax State 5-1 Sam Houston 0-5

Once we get close, I’ll think about adding a list of those one the bubble.

I may be jinxing us since we only have five wins but I’ll take my chances. We are not eligible for a bowl this year since we are still in transition. However, we can go if not enough teams qualify. Arizona State is on probation and can’t go to a bowl. Bowl eligibleBowl ineligible (1)Arizona State TransitionsJames Madison 5-0 Jax State 5-1 Sam Houston 0-5 Thanks for doing this Can anyone clarify if the bowl bid has to be one of your conference's bids or can it be any bowl? I remember reading that it had to be one of you conference's but I might be mistaken.

If we get in as an alternate I guess it would depend on what was available. If CUSA doesn’t fill all their spots I suppose we’d go there. I just hope it is relatively close to Jacksonville.

If we get in as an alternate I guess it would depend on what was available. If CUSA doesn’t fill all their spots I suppose we’d go there. I just hope it is relatively close to Jacksonville. Conference USA Bowl Ties, Affiliations The top-ranked Conference USA champion will be in the mix for the Fiesta, Cotton, or Chick-fil-A Peach if it's the highest-ranked Group of Five champ - and if it's not in the College Football Playoff. The Conference USA bowl tie-ins and affiliations will mostly be based on geographic location while avoiding repeat appearances. The normal Hawaii Bowl slot will be back for 2024, and the spot in the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl is off until 2025. Neither of those are in play this year. Conference USA doesn’t have a true pecking order in the ESPN owned and operated bowls. The bowls ties are based on best possible matchups. - Bahamas Bowl vs MAC - Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl vs American Athletic Conference - New Mexico Bowl vs Mountain West - R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl vs Sun Belt To be determined among the Group of Five conferences ... - Duluth Trading Co. Cure Bowl vs Group of Five - Frisco Bowl vs Group of Five - RoofClaim.com Boca Raton Bowl vs Group of Five - SERVPRO First Responder Bowl vs Group of Five Conference USA has an affiliation to fill-in if needed ... - Camellia Bowl vs MAC or Sun Belt - Fenway Bowl vs ACC or American - LendingTree Bowl vs MAC or Sun Belt - Myrtle Beach Bowl vs American, MAC or Sun Belt - TicketSmarter Birmingham Bowl vs American or SEC - Union Home Mortgage Gasparilla Bowl vs ACC, American, SEC
