I was very impressed with our crowd. I didn't know what we would get, but that exceeded even my most optimistic thoughts. I am curious what the official number was. We used to announce it in the stadium, but I may have missed it.
We played well up until about the end of the 2q. Getting that fumble I think saved us from being down 17-10 going into half.
We cannot survive poor offensive play against competent teams. Defense played hard but got worn down by a good team.
Last night and next Tuesday may be rough, but don't despair. I think we have a couple more wins left on the schedule.
Their QB is really good and was a big reason we were whipped. I was not impressed though with his antics when the game started getting out of hand. Hard to complain since there is a surefire way to stop that, and we couldn't but he showed his rear end as my grandmother would say. Maybe next year we can humble them.

Seems our QB situation is Jekyll and Hyde. Last game Smother’s played the 2nd half like a Heisman contender. This week it was like he was still trying to figure out how to complete passes. Imagine if we had a QB who could put it all together from the first snap. Our QB situation is all very frustrating.

Losing Webb and Smother’s to injury ended the game. Again/ 2 INT’s before they got hurt took points off the board. And badly timed penalties.
Pretty competitive for 3 quarters. Defense was gassed in 4th quarter.

At this point, I’ll take 3 quarters a game of good offense going forward. That being said. I still see us winning more games this season and still am sticking with my USC jr prediction of a win.

Thought the Lee Greenwood song took all of the remaining life out of the team and fans. Liberty started the 4th with a quick TD.
JSU has played well in the 4th on the road where Lee Greenwood songs are not played.

We held our own through the first 2/3 of the game but just ran out of gas. Liberty has a good team and will likely go undefeated. It will be interesting to see how they do in a bowl game.
On a side note, I saw Jack Crowe and Bill Clark sitting together not far from me. Clark was wearing a Jax State hat.

Here's my take away... HCRR has lost confidence in Logan, and rightfully so. Starting last night, Zion was going to be our starter for the rest of the season, as he was also named a captain. #15 Ashton Frye is the future. Wheels and a gunslingers arm.... WOW. Our DB's and QB's are the weak spots on this team... and we're getting exposed.

#15 Ashton Frye is the future. Wheels and a gunslingers arm.... WOW. I agree about Frye. If he can get more consistent his throws, he'll be a force once he learns the offense. The consistency is the biggest downside I see right now... it was almost like his arm was getting tired on a couple of throws. That might've been caused by lack of confidence ... and if he gets more snaps in practice this week, that might work itself out. I do wish he was just a bit thicker... that wiry basketball frame scares me whenever he takes a hit. It just feels like he might break in half...

Some thoughts from watching the broadcast:
1) The uniforms looked great. The helmets doubly so. I was kind of worried how the AKC would look on TV, but man... whoever designed that hit a home run. Bowled a 300. Got a hole in one. Pick your favorite sport and metaphor. They nailed it.
2) The crowd looked really good in most shots, but most importantly, they SOUNDED like a big league crowd. Man, I wish I could've been there.
3) It was good to see the student section packed, and even better to see how many of them stayed to the end.
4) The FOC construction looked impressive. Man, that building is much, much larger than I thought it was going to be. I still say there needs to be a big screen on top of it when it's done.
5) I *hate* the look of the CUSA logos on the field. I totally get the grass not matching. That's to be expected. But that shade of red on that shade of green... it just doesn't work. Whenever the turf is replaced, I hope they go with a different color scheme.
6) Liberty's QB ... wow.

Not sure, but serious enough to keep both out of the game and put a 3rd string redshirt freshman in for his first collegiate snaps in what was at the time a very winnable conference game.
