The amount of recycled black bits being kicked up by the football players is excessive. Somene is going to slip and tear an ACL due to the worn turf.

Field and 90% of the stadium is an embarrassment. You can get a new field for less than a million dollars.
Whole stadium is a complete dump right now

Turf life expectancy is 10 years. We are coming up on it soon.

A kicker who stated he "planted too hard" slipping once does not equal new turf. It is needed soon(1-2 years), but not now.

It's affecting his consistency (not to mention his footing). He was freaking automatic in 2022. Wonder what's got him so anxious this season?

We have 1 home game left vs. La. Tech in a couple of weeks. After that, I'd assume machinery will be all over the stadium working on the construction projects that are ongoing and outstanding.
New turf will be the icing on the cake, and won't go in until the heavy lifting is completed. It's like painting the walls in a room and using the old carpet (you're going to throw out) as a drop cloth.

I doubt the field gets replaced until the University has a *very* clear idea what it's going to do there and what the impact on the field will be, if any. (They may already know... I'm just saying, the field house construction is only one of two possible projects requiring a "drop cloth".)

My observations.....when he tries to power drive the ball he misses. When he just nonchalantly kicks it he makes it.

You seem to have zero grasp of the realities of the Jax State athletic funding. Yes/ the one side should have never had the seats ripped out before construction could start. Lighten up dude.

No one.
Absolutely NO ONE is judging Jax State's stadium because of missing steel bleachers and stadium seats on the north stands in an obvious construction zone.
Except for our own fans.

Never said I did. If we cannot afford a million dollar field, we do not deserve to be FBS. Oxford high school has a better field than us

If we cannot afford a million dollar field, we do not deserve to be FBS. Oxford high school has a better field than us I would submit that our current 6-2 record in our first season in FBS indicates we DO deserve to be FBS. The stadium is a work in progress, have some patience & enjoy this historic season the Gamecocks are in the middle of creating.

Oxford high school has a better field than us I'd disagree our field is fine and the stadium far exceeds Oxford, I would agree that the visitors side is embarrassing, simply because there appears to be no plans to remedy the situation. If there is it appears to be top secret. At a bare minimum we need to pour new concrete and put back bleachers.

We talked about the move to FBS AND CUSA and how the staff of the AD is catching up with new demands. I think once things seem to become the norm we will get more concrete information about the future of the stadium, but right now getting the teams to their games in new destinations is a higher priorty than some construction projects that we can not afford right now.

The lack of transparency is the problem, and leaves everyone including US grasping at what might be.
If a plan was laid out for the stadium completion 2024, followed by a covered practice field 2026, and future plans ... it would gain more momentum. I understand not wanting to know your hand, but showing renderings of you new house while you're current home is in disarray is irresponsible.
Instead, we're left to guess what our priorities are and the funding necessary to complete them. Better understanding the funding requirements / strategy might also help (us/ alumni) take inventory on our own donation levels and what's required to achieve our goals.
