I think it's gonna get a lot worse before it gets better. Not necessarily for us in particular but for the G5 in general.

If it doesn't get worse for you then you stink at recruiting.

Well nuts. Hope he lands on his feet someplace that he can contribute. I would've thought he'd be in the thick of the race to start for us.

I suspect we'll say goodbye to quite a few more QBs before the season starts. That room is crowded.

I liked this young man last year, and wanted to see him get a chance to have more reps.
Two heartbreakers to the portal this week... not sure why other than $$.
Clay Webb was recognized nationally for his good play. Proving only after 1 year, JSU is a highly visible program at the G5 level.

Frye doesn't surprise me. He's a great talent, but he needs in-game experience to reach his full potential. Given the number of talented and experienced QBs we brought in from the Portal (which, it must be noted, I still hate) Frye's prospects for gaining experience in 2024 were growing increasingly remote.
I hope he lands somewhere that can get him on the field.

Will a revolving door be installed in the field house? What, it's a legitimate question to ask?

Here’s your one-week update from the transfer portal, courtesy of The Athletic’s Max Olson. As of yesterday morning …
494 scholarship players entered the portal (48 percent are from Power 5 schools, 52 percent are from the Group of 5).
Twenty-five percent have been repeat transfers. Twenty percent have been grad transfers.
Position with the most transfers: defensive line (95).

"And another one gone..."
So long, Nehemiah Pgouda. We hardly knew ya.
In a case like this, I sincerely hope he was directed to enter the Portal by the coaching staff. (I mean, otherwise, what was the point of signing with the Gamecocks only to transfer before staying long enough to get some real playing time? It's not like you're going to impress bigger schools and collect that NIL cash with your benchwarming skills...)
